Game day Intern/Volunteer - Boston Breakers (Allston, MA)

The Boston Breakers of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) are seeking Game-Day Interns and Volunteers for our upcoming 2017 season. The NWSL is now entering our 5th season, and our volunteers are a vital part of keeping the Breakers and the NWSL moving forward as only one of two Professional Women sports teams. We ask Interns and volunteers to show up about 4 hours before the game and then typically we are done with set-up about 1 - 2 hours later. Then you're wondering, why did I get here so early? This is a "Professional" sporting event and we want to be set-up well in advance of a game and then potentially troubleshoot for anything that may come up, and inevitably something always comes up. After / during set-up, the Breakers also provide food, so you can take a break and eat something.We are always trying to become more structured and better organized. We will have an incentives / rewards system in place for people that volunteer with us. Or if you are doing this for a college credit internship we can give you those hours. While on the subject of hours, our intern/volunteer timeline is as follows; We would like to have our volunteers at the games 3.5-4 hours before each game to help set-up the field, then you will be around for 2 hours for the actual game, and if we have a strong compliment of interns/volunteers for breakdown of the field, we can usually be done within 45-60 minutes m ...
