2017 Seasonal Communications Internship – FC Kansas CityThe National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is a ten-team Division-I women’s professional soccer league featuring national team players from across the globe. The clubs are the Boston Breakers, Chicago Red Stars, Houston Dash, FC Kansas City, North Carolina Courage, Orlando Pride, Portland Thorns FC, Seattle Reign FC, Sky Blue FC, and the Washington Spirit.The communications internship is ideal for a college student with an interest in public relations and knowledge of FC Kansas City and National Women’s Soccer League.Job Duties:Assist with FCKC Game Day OperationsIncludes Game notes, press box set up, credential processAssist media with statistical questions, player interview requests, etc.Assist in writing Press Releases / Develop story lines / Blog postsAssist in creating Game Day Roster Handout and other publicationsAssist with providing stories and content for FCKansasCity.comAttend and observe FC Kansas City practicesMay involve taking photos and shooting videoAssist with team Social MediaQualifications:Must be an active college studentMust receive college creditPrevious Experience with press releases and game notesMust be available to work some nights, weekends and holidaysExperience using Photoshop a plusAll internships with FC Kansas City are unpaid and must be used to receive college credit. Hours can be flexible to accommodate work and school schedules.
